Example of mounting the transmitter

Our lightest transmitter G17D3 is the ideal tool for detecting nests of the Asian hornet Vespa Velutina Nigrithorax. Only authorised specialists are allowed to capture, transmit and remove the nests. Non-professionals run the risk of being seriously injured by the animals.

1

Make sure that a Vespa Velutina Nigrithorax is being sighted and not another hornet. Tranquilise them to avoid stings.

2

Prepare the transmitter by cutting the activation wire. Thread a strong but light thread through the eyelet.

3

Knot the thread around the hornet’s abdomen while it holds still. Watch out for the sting.

4

Give the hornet time to recover. Offer it a few calories. Release the hornet and track down the nest.
